The BE GREAT Team

Bill Ward, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Bill’s professional career encompasses proven success for over 20 years in business leadership. In 2011, he made the decision that it was time to give back to the community he was raised in and began his career in the non-profit sector as the Service Center Director for The Salvation Army. After 18 months of dynamic growth, Bill was asked to join The CLUB for YOUth as the Chief Executive Officer. Bill saw this opportunity as his “personal grassroots” movement. He believes that development in the success of our children will create stronger economic development success for Kingman. Residents of rural communities, more than ever, need to come together to reach success in these challenging times. Bill is excited to bring his unique talents, extensive experience and strong local ties to the Club to focus on providing a sustainable Club environment for youth in our community. Bill would love to meet with you and share the wonderful, life-changing work we do here at the Club; please give him a call to arrange a tour of the Club and personal meeting.

Melissa Creek, Program Supervisor
Melissa Creek is the program supervisor at the CLUB. Melissa has been working with children for over a decade. Her career with children started at the Ontario/Montclair School District. She worked special needs children for three years until she relocated to Kingman in 2011. Melissa had a brief stint with KUSD in the Middle School SPED class. She soon moved to Kingman Academy of Learning, where she began working with the 3rd and 5th-grade classes. In 2014, Melissa applied for a summer position at The CLUB for YOUth. Her first summer she spent as the floater. When Melissa returned the summer of 2015, the Club needed a permanent program staff, and Melissa was the prime candidate for the position. Through her proven skills and leadership as program staff, Melissa received a promotion as Program Supervisor in January 2016. In this role, Melissa now oversees all programs within the Club. Melissa is responsible for implementing the vision that the Club CEO and the Board of Directors creates.
